The good application
Are you in doubt about when your applications will work? We understand that! No matter if you have applied for many jobs, or this is the first time you have to apply, it can be confusing to find out what is go and what is no-go.
Applications that work out – make good headlines
To make applications work, it is important that each section has a short headline so that the employer knows what to expect from the following section. The headline also acts as an appetizer and allows you to describe yourself in one-liners that catch on.
The length of the application is important
A good application that works is a page long. There is enough space for you to talk about your skills and experiences, and capture the employer’s attention and give a good impression.
- Must NOT be one page full of one long paragraph
- Consists of small sections that serve a clear purpose
- Provide air between your main sections so that it is easier to read and get an overview of.
Features, advantages, benefit
When an application is good, it is because it is short, accurate and cash. This is because it quickly makes it clear why it is you who should be hired. To achieve this, we at Jobido use the FAB model to set up the application.
It’s a simple way for you to review what you can. Set up your application in three main sections:
In the first section, you review your professional and personal competencies. In the second section, you write what benefits your properties provide. Finally, you write a section on how your benefits can create a benefit for the employer.
Why should it be you?
With the FAB model, you quickly make it clear to the employer what you can do. During the application, it is also a good idea to write what motivates you in the position and the workplace.
This shows the employer that you have familiarized yourself with the work tasks that come with the position and that you are sincere in your application. This is what can help set you apart from the other applicants!
